Orrganized Sound (ASCAP) publishes the “seriously fun” original works and arrangements of Philip Orr, music that expresses an eclectic experience of a variety of idioms — choral, vocal, chamber and large-ensemble instrumental — across multiple eras of classical, jazz and popular genres. Composer/arranger Philip Orr is the recipient of several ASCAPlus Writers Awards as well as a New Jersey State Council for the Arts fellowship. His diverse works in a variety of genres reflect his extensive background as keyboardist, wind instrumentalist, chorister and conductor/leader in classical concert repertoire, traditional sacred music, jazz, pop, gospel, rock, musical theater, concert band and chamber ensembles. Mr. Orr serves on the faculty of the Westminster College of the Arts of Rider University, and holds degrees in Sacred Music and Composition from Westminster Choir College.
